Dear Community Members and Friends of Goleta Valley South Little...

UPDATED DETAILS ON SPRING REGISTRATION - NOW OPEN!

UPDATED DETAILS ON SPRING REGISTRATION - NOW OPEN - DEADLINE EXTENDED!  REGISTER TODAY!

GVSLL Spring Registration is OPEN.  Sign up today!  Registration has been extended through the end of January.

Due to current county conditions, we have decided to hold off on our skills evaluation and draft, but we still plan to begin the Spring Program (as originally scheduled) in mid-February.

We will begin by assigning temporary cohorts for Phase 1 (the skills training/building phase).  Phase 2 (scrimmages) will most likely span between the Phase 1 cohorts and Phase 3 drafted teams to give the most opportunity for competitive play. When we are in a safe position to start the sanctioned season (Phase 3), we will hold evals and draft new teams for the regulation season.

We will make an effort to accommodate teammate requests for Phase 1 (cohorts), but cannot make any guarantees.  Feel free to update your registration form with relevant requests.

We continue to focus on offering registrants the opportunity to get out onto our baseball fields with other kids, build skills, and play ball (regardless of when/if a sanctioned season is approved).  We are excited to offer pre-season (Phase 1) cohorts (with the potential for friend requests to be accommodated) before the formal draft!  When/if the cohorts shift into drafted teams will be based on state and county guidelines.  We will only move to the next phase based on current public health guidelines and county health status. With safety as our number one priority, we will be ready to shift and modify our plan as needed. We feel confident that we will be able to keep our fields open for players in some capacity throughout the spring season.

Don’t forget to sign up today and note your teammate requests for the Phase 1 (Skills Training/Cohorts) portion of this unprecedented season.

  • Registration closes 1/31/2021
  • Cohort formation early February.
  • Spring season will run Mid-February through Late-May (with the shift to evals, drafted teams, and regulation play occurring when approved).

Timeline subject to change/shift based on current guidelines.

HAVE A GREAT SEASON!

We need your support - Donate Now

Dear Community Members and Friends of Goleta Valley South Little League,

We are thrilled to announce that after much hard work, we have found a way to bring baseball back and we will be opening registration for the 2021 Spring Season very soon!  In the meantime, we need your support – Donate Now

As we near the end of 2020 we recognize that this year has brought many unexpected challenges to our community.  To protect our most vulnerable community members, our Goleta Valley South Little League (GVSLL) families did not participate in our traditional GVSLL baseball team activities during the spring 2020 season.  We are hopeful that 2021 will bring our children together again.

GVSLL is committed to bring our youth together again by providing our local youth, ages 4-14, with the opportunity to play baseball.  Each year hundreds of GVSLL ball players learn the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play, to become stronger athletes and more confident children.

With our children in mind, we reach out during this special season of giving, and ask you to make a contribution for the benefit of our local children.  The generous contributions of our sponsors and donors help us to cover the cost of uniforms, training, equipment, facility maintenance and program enhancements.

Your generous donations also fund scholarships for children in Santa Barbara County, which pay for registration fees for low-income families that would not otherwise be able to participate.  Each year we find that many families are not able to participate without our scholarship program.  We anticipate a larger need for scholarships this year due to the economic hardships caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year, more than ever, we ask for your generous support, as we were (and still are) limited in our ability to have our usual in-person fundraisers.  On behalf of the GVSLL Board of Directors, we thank you in advance for your support.

To donate or become a league sponsor please visit our website at gvsll.com.  Click the Donate Now tab to support our league and explore the Sponsorship tab or fill out the Sponsorship Form to become a GVSLL Sponsor.

With much gratitude for your support,

GVSLL Board of Directors
