Volunteer Responsibilities:
When you register for Spring season, in addition to the registration fee for your ball player, you will also be required to write a $200 check to GVSLL. This is a volunteer deposit that you will receive back if you sign up for and work 2 complete volunteer shifts during the season. Here are some ways you can get your volunteer deposit check back:

• Work in the concession stand
• Help with Opening Day setup and festivities
• Help with the field work days throughout the season
• Umpire 3 games

Team Related Volunteer Responsibilities:
Our league has many opportunities for you to help out. It is important to note that signing-on for these positions does not count as your volunteer commitment and allow your check to be returned. No one is exempt from the volunteer commitment, even the President of the League!

• Team Manager – We have coaching clinics during the Spring to help you learn how to Manage a Team.
• Team Coach - Assist the Team Manager with practice, etc.
• Team Mom - Helps organize snacks, team pictures, special events, communication with the Team and the League.
• Scorekeeper or announcer during your child’s games

It can be really fun to help out with your team and the league depends on volunteers to provide the best experience possible for all the kids.

Cost of Participation:
In the interests of full disclosure, there are other potential costs of participation in the league. In addition to registration fee and your volunteer deposit (which is refundable).  (Please note that there will be no Registration Refunds after draft night.)  Here are some other potential costs you could incur.

Many teams have a team party and the cost is shared by the families on the team
